For instructions to create a database to send to us, click on the version of ACT! you are using.

Using ACT! select File and then Save Copy As. If your database is located on a server, you will need to make the copy from the server.

Give the database a name and put it into a folder you'll remember.
If you're saving a Premium database, you will need to save it as a Standard version.
This will crate three files whose name begins with the name of your database and a folder that contains the attachments.
If you are sending these files, put these files into a compressed folder (zip them) and send the .zip file. Click here for instructions to create a zip folder.
Sometimes ACT! will not allow you to make a copy on your local system. If this happens, you can usually make a backup to send. The only caution is that the backup file will be much larger than just sending the .adf and .alf files.
To create a backup --- From ACT! select File, then Backup. Finally select Database.

Specify a path where you'll easily be able to find the file.
MAKE SURE THE INCLUDE ATTACHMENTS BOX IS UNCHECKED.
