We strongly recommend that you try Exporter before you buy it.  The trial version will allow you to export 200 contacts and all of the data associated with these contacts.  This includes Notes, Histories, Activities, Groups etc.  You can use this sample, to test the data with your target application.
The software for the trial version is exactly the same as the full version.  When you purchase Exporter you will be given a license key that allows you to "activate" the software and export the entire database.  You do not need to download the software again.
Your browser will ask if you want to run or save the file.  We recommend saving the file to your local computer.  When you have downloaded everything you need, double click on the downloaded file(s) to install the application.

              You are exporting an ACT! 4-6 database or
              ACT! 2005-2010 Premimum is installed on your system or
              ACT! 2011 or ACT! 2012(any version) is installed on your system
 
Step 2 -- ACT! 2005-2010 Pro installed ---Download the Exporter SQL instance

**DO NOT INSTALL THIS SQL INSTANCE ON XP WITHOUT SP3**
 
Step 2 -- ACT! is NOT installed ---Download SQL Express 2008
Download SQL Express 2008    
   
**You will be downloading directly from Microsoft.  This will insure that you have the latest version of SQL Express and it is the correct version for your operating system.
We recommend that you select the w/tools option**
