We strongly recommend that you try Exporter before you buy it.  The trial version will allow you to export 200 contacts and all of the data associated with these contacts.  This includes Notes, Histories, Activities, Groups etc.  You can use this sample, to test the data with your target application.
The software for the trial version is exactly the same as the full version.  When you purchase Exporter you will be given a license key that allows you to "activate" the software and export the entire database.  You do not need to download the software again.

If you are exporting an ACT! 2005-2010 database, we recommend also using our Exporter_SE SQL instance.  It will allow you to export your Activities and Group membership.  For Salesforce.com exports, it permits more accurate mapping of ACT! data fields to Salesforce.com

Step 3 -- Install

Exporter IconYour browser will ask if you want to run or save the file.  We recommend saving the file to your local computer.  When the download is complete, double click on the downloaded file to install it.  When you have finished, you should have the exporter icon on your desktop.
