TurboLookup for ACT! 2000 gives you the ability to easily and quickly search for contacts in your ACT! database.

	*Speed.* Using a technology from Microsoft called Rushmore, which optimizes database searching, TurboLookup can be up to 20 times faster than a comparable ACT! lookup. Additionally, because it’s so easy to build complex queries, you can search in one pass of the database rather than using ACT!’s narrowing or adding to the lookup process.
	*Access to More Data.* TurboLookup allows you to search fields that aren’t available using ACT!. These include almost all of the Sales Opportunity data, Note/History and Group Membership.
	*Full Text Searching*. TurboLookup allows you to do Boolean searches of our note and sales details data.
	Easy-to-Use Query Builder. TurboLookup’s Query Builder makes setting up queries easy. It eliminates the need to use the complex syntax of ACT!’s query language. Instead, you build complex queries by selecting from dropdown values.
	*Reinstate Lookups.* TurboLookup allows you to save the results of a lookup for later use. This means you don’t need to rescan the database if you want to return to a lookup.
	*Reusable Queries.* With TurboLookup, you can save the queries you create to use them again or make modifications to them.
	*Special Date Options.* You can build queries that use date functions such as last month, current month, today etc. This allows you to reuse these queries without change any date ranges.
	*Command Line Execution.* You can use your saved queries from a command line statement. This allows you to add them to ACT!'s menus or toolbars.
	*Build ACT! groups.* Add lookup to group Remove lookup from group Rebuild group -- remove if not in lookup and add if in lookup
	*Last Touched Search.* Find records that haven't been "touched" in a time period such as last month
	ACT! 6.0 Annual Event. Find annual events using relative date searches such as Current Month, Last Month etc.

Query Builder

TurboLookup’s Query Builder consists of a table with four main columns. These columns contain the Field in your ACT! database to search, the Condition for the search, the Value to search for and a selectable Boolean Connector.

Field You have the ability to select from all the fields in your main ACT! database. In addition, TurboLookup allows you to search on certain fields in the Note/History, Sales Opportunity data and Group Membership. This means that you can do things like finding contacts who haven’t been assigned to a group, find contacts where the probability of close is greater than 75%, find contacts who have had note records added during a specified time period etc…etc.

Condition Depending on the data type of the Field you selected, you can choose one of the following conditions to tell TurboLookup how to select the data from your database

Any Word Used to search text for any word in a list

All Words Used to search text for all word in a list

Exact Phrase Used to search text for an exact phrase.

Between The data in the Field is between the high and low range in the value column. i.e zip code between 91000, 99000.

Contains The data in the Field contains the text in the Value column i.e. company contains inc.

Empty The field contains no data i.e. Group Membership is empty.

Ends with The data in the Field ends with the text contained in the Value column i.e. Contact ends with phd.

Equals The data in the Field equals the text contained in the Value column i.e. First name equals Linda

Greater than The data in the Field is greater than the text contained in the Value column i.e. Zip code is greater than 90000.

In list The data in the Field is in a list specified in the Value column i.e. State is in list CA,WA,OR,HI. Note: You can press F2 to select multiple items from the field's dropdown values.

Less than The data in the Field is less than the text contained in the Value column i.e. Zip code is less than 90000.

Sounds like The data in the Field sounds like the text contained in the Value column i.e. Last name sounds like Smith.

Special Date Operators The following operators for dates allow you to build queries for date fields that can be easily reused without reentering the query instructions. These are: Current Week,Month,Year; Next Week, Month,Year; Last Month,Week,Year; Today,Yesterday, Future. These can be used with the ACT! 6.0 Annual Event date fields.

Value The Value column allows you to specify the text used as the selection criterion. If you have added dropdowns for the Field in the ACT! database, TurboLookup will allow you to access these dropdowns to select the Value. You can also pick multiple values for conditions like In List.

Other Features

Reinstating a Previous Lookup

TurboLookup allows you to save and recall a previous lookup. This eliminates the need to create groups in ACT! to process temporary lookups. For example, if you have leads from a trade show and need to need to refer back to these leads to send literature kits, follow up with e-mail etc. TurboLookup gives you immediate access to these contacts without rescanning the database.

Reusing Queries

If you have a query that you use frequently, you can save the query and reuse it. This eliminates the need to recreate the query. You can also make modifications to the query and save it as a new query.

Building ACT! Groups from Lookups

	Create a New Group This will put all of the contacts in the lookup in the group you specify.
	Add the Lookup to Group This will put the entire lookup into the group you specify.
	Remove Lookup from Group This will remove any contacts in the Lookup that are in the group specified from the group.
	Rebuild Group with this Lookup This will remove any contacts in the specified group that are not in the Lookup and add those that are not in the group. Effectively – this deletes all contacts and adds the lookup.

ACT! 2000 or 6.0

The main ACT! dBase table (.dbf) can not exceed 255 fields.
