Exporter for ACT! 4-6 exports ALL ACT! data  from the  Contact, Notes/History, Activity, Group, Sales, Group Membership and E-Mail tables  into comma or Tab delimited files, an Access database, standard dBase IV  files and/or  a Visual FoxPro database.  

Exporter is intended to be used to transfer ACT! data to programs such as Access providing reporting beyond the scope of ACT!,  to corporate main frame programs for ongoing interface or as a stepping stone to more complex database structures.

All coded ACT! fields such as dates, user names, record IDs are decoded. All  user defined fields are exported with their labels.

  • Up to 20 times faster.  We have developed proprietary access methods to the ACT! data.  This allows us to run significantly faster than other export programs.  On a 600MHz system, Exporter can export a database of 5,000 contacts and 40,000 notes and history records in 3 minutes.  Using the standard tools provided by Interact, this export takes over 2 hours.
  • ALL data is exported.  ALL data in ALL ACT! tables is exported
  • Export Multiple Databases. Export a list of databases in a single pass.
  • Export entire database or current Lookup.  You can select only the records you need for export.
  • Custom ACT! field names are preserved.  ACT! allows the user to rename user fields and create new fields.  These field names are exported so they can be used in the target application.
  • Runs manually or automatically.  Exporter can be  run without operator intervention and can be run as a scheduled after hours task.
  • User selectable export files. The user can specify  which ACT! files to export. 
  • Splits Names.  Contact names are exported as entered and also split into Prefix, First name, Last name and Suffix fields.

If our product fails to export your data because of a corrupt database or any other reason, you can send your database to us we will fix it and do the export.

Export File Types

TXT   All tables are exported in windows standard comma delimited or TAB delimited format.

ACCESS  All tables are exported into an Access database.  The relationships between the tables are setup.

DBF  All tables are exported in dBase IV format with a .dbf extension.  For tables containing memo fields, there will be a .dbt extension which contains the long data fields

DBC  All tables are combined into a Visual FoxPro Database container.  The relationships between the tables are set up.  DBC files can be used with almost any window application through the ODBC drivers.  In the Download area of our web site, you can find information describing how to use this file type.

DBF_Flat  Using the flat file format, all the notes and history records for a contact are combined into a single long field.  This makes importing into applications such as Outlook or Salesforce.com much easier. 

TXT_Flat  This is the same as the DBF_Flat except the data is exported as standard windows comma delimited text mode.

Exporter for ACT! is sold with a site license.  This means that you can use it on any computer system at your company's site.
